Dal (Lentil Soup) Complete Spice Mix

Our Dal Spice Mix recreates traditional Dal (spiced lentils), originally from the northern climates. Dal is often served with Basmati rice or Roti (Indian bread) to create a nutritious vegetarian meal rich in protein. This spice mix is 100% natural and contains no MSG or preservatives.
15-Minute Meal (Serves 4)
1 packet of Sukhi’s Dal Spice Mix
1 cup lentils (yellow, green or red)
4 cups of water
2 tbsp. cooking oil
¼ tbsp. turmeric
Salt to taste
In 2 quart pot, add rinsed lentils, salt, turmeric and water. Boil on medium-high heat until lentils are soft and mushy. Add more water if necessary to fully cook the lentils. Heat oil in a separate pan over medium-high heat. Add Dal Spice Mix and saute until spices begin to froth. Remove from flame. Add spice mixture to cooked lentils. Stir in well and serve!
